If you didn't know, it is half the size of Texas and also the size of 70 million football fields. If you don't know how big a football field, it is 360 feet wide. One of the reefs main threats is global warming. Global warming is heating up the Earth and when the coral is white it is technically dead.

One of the reefs other Threats are the Crown of thorns starfish. The tritons, which grow up to half a metre in length, are a natural predator for the crown of thorns starfish. The snails eat the coral them, as well as sea cucumbers and other starfish.
